Jadon Wilson accounts for 4 touchdowns, speedy St. Francis ousts Kaneland in first round of Class 5A playoffs — Tinley Park Sports news

Kaneland coach Mike Thorgesen knew his team had a tough task in containing a St. Francis offense full of speed at the receiver spots. The Knights couldn’t keep up Friday evening, as junior quarterback Jadon Wilson connected with five different receivers and tossed three touchdown passes to lead the Spartans over Kaneland 48-12. Wilson, who added a 6-yard touchdown run in the opening quarter, threw for 249 yards on 18 completions without a turnover.“We knew the receivers were really dangerous,” Thorgesen said. “We missed some tackles, but we knew if we missed any tackles, it might have been a touchdown and that’s what happened tonight. ... We had to play as close to perfect as we could and that wasn’t the case.”St. Francis (6-5) strung together two first-half scoring drives that went over 90 yards. The Spartans went ahead 14-0 late in the first quarter, when Wilson looked to his right and fired a strike to junior wideout Greg Bess-Henning in the back corner for a 7-yard score. Bess-Henni
