Cary-Grove AMVETS to host turkey raffle fundraiser — Tinley Park Health news

Cary-Grove AMVETS Post 245 is hosting a turkey raffle fundraiser, just in time for Thanksgiving. The veteran group’s turkey raffle takes place at 1 p.m. Nov. 8 at The Hidden Tap in Cary, located at 203 E. Main St. Plenty of different meats and turkeys will be raffled off, Post Commander Charlie Sedivec said. The raffle helps fund events the post hosts for hospitalized veterans throughout the year, like baseball games, cemetery visits, bingo days and fishing trips. By far their most impactful event is the summertime picnic held every year in Fox River Grove. All of their services are possible through donations and fundraisers. Sedivec said he hopes AMVETS will be able to raise around $2,000 during this turkey raffle. More information can be found on The Hidden Tap’s event Facebook page at bit.ly/AMVETSturkeyraffle.
